The Stand hits the Big Screen

Steven King's The Stand is one of my all time favorite books. I love apocalyptic, end of the world movies and now my favorite book in this genre is in the works to become a movie. While there have been movie adaptations of this book in the past but they have been a little weak and toned down. I have seen the six hour 1994 ABC miniseries and thought it was to long and cheesy. CBS has owned the rights for many years but just recently teamed up with Warner Bros., who beat out Sony and Fox in a tight bidding war. So hopefully the two can make this movie as awesome and suspenseful as the book is. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
